Checking a bully

The Pahalgam attack has raised the immediate threat of an Indian attack on Pakistan. However, there is more to Indian aggression towards Pakistan than just this one attack, especially under its current Hindutva government. The long-term annihilation of Pakistan is key to realising their goal of ‘Akhund Bharat’. For many among those currently leading India, the simple existence of Pakistan is a problem. This is the true political philosophy of Indian politicians who see Pakistan as a permanent obstruction to their dream for an undivided Indian sub-continent.

Well, the Indian leaders should remember that Pakistan is also a nuclear power and that the responsibility for any disastrous conflict would lie squarely on their shoulders. The Pahalgham terrorist attack is not the first time India has blamed Pakistan for such activities. These baseless accusations have never done it any good before and are not likely to help India much now. Indian leaders, particularly those in the BJP and others under the RSS umbrella, would instead do well to try to stay within the lines of their own constitution and stop denying the people of IIOJK their rights.
