Pakistan to host BD for five-match T20I Series from May 25

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the tentative schedule for the highly anticipated five-match T20I series between Pakistan and Bangladesh, set to take place across Faisalabad and Lahore later in May.

Series Overview and Schedule Bangladesh is expected to arrive in Pakistan on May 21, ahead of the opening match at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, on May 25. The second fixture will also be held in Faisalabad on May 27, before the action shifts to Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, for the remaining three matches on May 30, June 1, and June 3.

Tentative Pakistan-Bangladesh T20I Series Schedule:

1st T20I – Faisalabad – May 25

2nd T20I – Faisalabad – May 27

3rd T20I – Lahore – May 30

4th T20I – Lahore – June 1

5th T20I – Lahore – June 3

Meanwhile, the PCB has shortlisted five players for possible inclusion in Pakistan’s squad for the series, including Sahibzada Farhan, Hussain Talat, Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf, and emerging pacer Ali Raza. Among the standout names is Sahibzada Farhan, who has been in sublime form during the HBL PSL 10, leading the global T20 run-scorers’ chart with 841 runs in 12 matches at an average of 84.10 and a strike rate of 182.42. His four T20 centuries this year place him among an elite list of players, including Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, Jos Buttler, and Shubman Gill.

Hussain Talat, with 193 runs for Peshawar Zalmi, is also under consideration, alongside seasoned all-rounders Faheem Ashraf and Hasan Ali, who have shown strong performances in the ongoing PSL 10.
