This refers to the letter ‘Policies abound’ (April 27, 2025) by Hussain Ahmad Siddiqui. The corruption and incompetence of our politicians and bureaucrats are partly to blame for our national public welfare failure. But we must not overlook another factor: population. We have added another 210 million people since 1947 while our national resources have not been able to keep pace with this monumental growth in population.
