LAHORE: With the dedicated efforts of Divisional Superintendent (DS) Pakistan Railways Lahore, Mian Tariq Latif, the Lahore Division has successfully achieved 100pc train punctuality over the past five days.

According to a press release issued by the DS Office, DS Mian Tariq Latif has been personally monitoring train operations through the Control Office. Daily operational meetings are held to ensure the smooth functioning of services, while continuous coordination is maintained with other divisional control offices, including Central Control, to further enhance operational efficiency. In addition to punctuality improvements, DS Lahore has also intensified action against fare dodgers. Special crackdowns were carried out on prominent trains including Allama Iqbal Express, Tezgam, and Khyber Mail. As a result, Rs116,570 was collected from 190 passengers found traveling without tickets. During a targeted operation on the Allama Iqbal Express (Sialkot to Lahore), Rs78,050 was recovered on the spot from ticketless travelers.
