Both former finance minister Taimur Jhagra and former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly speaker Baber Saleem Swati have faced an inquiry from a PTI internal accountability committee. Meanwhile, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has allegedly alluded to some PTI leaders being disloyal. These leaders have, in response, advised the chief minister to concentrate on the alarming law and order situation in KP. They also claimed that such internal squabbles will only weaken the party’s efforts in securing the release of party founder Imran Khan. It seems as if the PTI has lost all sense of direction due to its founder being imprisoned. In the absence of a robust party structure and organisation, the PTI seems to be buckling under pressure.
