While the 2025 PSL has been a success on the field, it has also highlighted recurring challenges off the field. This includes the severe traffic congestion during match days. Major roads such as Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karsaz, and University Road become virtually impassable, with commuters stuck in jams for hours. The traffic diversions, lack of clear signage, and minimal coordination between traffic police and event organisers have added to the chaos. While we all support the spirit of cricket and large-scale events, there must be a more thoughtful approach to traffic management. Public announcements, alternate routes, improved shuttle services and coordination with local communities can go a long way in minimising inconvenience.
