LAHORE:A delegation of 10 probationary army officers, part of the 52nd Common Training Programme, visited the Central Police Office (CPO) in Lahore for a study tour.
The delegation, led by Additional Director of the Civil Services Academy included seven officers from the Pakistan Army, two from the Pakistan Air Force, and one from the Pakistan Navy. During the visit, DIG Operations Punjab delivered a lecture on the operational framework of the Punjab Police, covering topics such as operations, investigations, traffic management, public service delivery, and crime control initiatives. The officers also learned about the functioning of Khidmat and Tahaffuz Centres, Meesaq Centres, and Special Initiative Police Stations. IG Punjab addressed the delegation, highlighting the Punjab Police's focus on both crime prevention and community policing.
ECO team visits PSCA
A delegation from the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO), led by Secretary General (R) Asad Majeed Khan, visited the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) Headquarters.
Comprising over 25 ambassadors and representatives from 10 member countries, the delegation received a detailed briefing on the Smart & Safe Cities Project.
The guests toured the Command & Control Centre, observed real-time surveillance of key sites, and learned about the use of AI in urban safety. They also visited PSCA initiatives, including Helpline 15, Facial Recognition System, Virtual Women Police Station, Child Protection Centre, and Virtual Blood Bank. The ECO delegation praised the PSCA as a 'regional role model' in public safety and innovation.
