Guaranteed stents used for patients at PIC, says Salman
LAHORE:Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique on Sunday said that the treatment process of each patient at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology is monitored by the Chairman Board of Management, Executive Director and PIC MS themselves. Patients use the treatment facilities at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology with full confidence.
Khawaja Salman Rafique said that guaranteed stents are used for patients at the PIC. Now, patients are being provided treatment facilities on a priority basis at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology.
50,639 patients treated in PINS in three months
The patients’ confidence has increased due to patient-friendly measures at Punjab Institute of Neurosciences (PINS). A total of 50,639 patients were provided with treatment facilities in outdoor and emergency department from January to March, 2025 as per the policy of the Punjab government.
These views were expressed by PINS Executive Director Prof Dr Asif Bashir while presiding over the quarterly performance review meeting. MS Dr Umar Ishaq, Nursing Superintendent Aasia Khanum, Dr Adnan Khalid, Dr Asad Shah and other administrative doctors were present in the meeting. MS Dr Umar Ishaq told the participants of the meeting in a briefing that 46,735 patients came to neurosurgery and neurology outdoor and were examined by senior doctors and in the light of the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, medical and diagnostic facilities were provided to them.
While 3,904 patients treated in emergency department. During the last three months, 1,761 patients were successfully operated in PINS. Prof Asif Bashir urged the administrative doctors to ensure implementation of the monitoring and feedback system and the SOPs clarified by the Punjab Healthcare commission. All resources should be used to improve effective coordination in all sectors. ED PINS expressed satisfaction that the MSDS team members of PINS compiled separate data of male and female patients visiting outdoors which is commendable. He congratulated the team members and expressed the expectation that the health professionals of PINS will continue to perform their duties with dedication, dedication and professional dedication to provide quality medical facilities to the patients.
