LAHORE:After the completion of trials, the 2-week training camps of Punjab’s selected players for the preparation of National Games will start from April 14.

DG Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry shared this information while addressing an important meeting at National Hockey Stadium on Friday. The meeting was attended by Director Admin Dr M Kaleem, Director Sports Rana Nadeem Anjum and all administrators of the Nishtar Park Sports Complex. Addressing the meeting, Khizar Afzaal said that as many as 600 players will be trained in the training camps under the supervision of qualified coaches. “The best accommodation arrangements have been made for players participating in the training camps”.

He directed all the administrators of Nishtar Park Sports Complex to make best cleaning arrangements during the training camps. “Top standard facilities and best training will be imparted to all male and female athletes during the training camps”. Meanwhile, To ensure the smooth management of the upcoming National Games, DG Sports Punjab Khizar Afzaal has announced the formation of several administrative committees. The announcement was made during an important meeting at the National Hockey Stadium.

Several committees including Camp Management Committee, Mess Committee, Boarding Committee, Medical Committee, Equipment and Schedule Committee have been constituted. These committees will oversee various operational aspects of the National Games, which are crucial for their success. All administrators have been assigned specific responsibilities to ensure seamless preparation and execution of the games. He emphasised the need for high standards at all training camps, including comprehensive monitoring of coaching activities.
