LAHORE: The Event Technical Committee of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Qualifier has officially approved Kirsty McColl as a replacement for injured all-rounder Darcey Carter in the Scotland squad.

Carter has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament after sustaining a right-hand injury. The 19-year-old McColl, who is yet to make her international debut, has joined the squad. As per ICC regulations, all player replacements require formal approval from the Event Technical Committee before being finalized.

The committee for this tournament includes Gaurav Saxena (ICC General Manager – Events & Corporate Communications), Clive Hitchcock (ICC Senior Cricket Operations Manager), Christian Chiketa (ICC Manager – Global Pathway Events), Usman Wahla (PCB Director International Cricket Operations), and Shandre Fritz (ICC Match Referee). McColl’s inclusion comes on the heels of Scotland’s remarkable 11-run victory over the West Indies in their opening match, and the squad now turns its focus to their next clash against host nation Pakistan here on Friday.
