Mashood promises better sports facilities to youth
Islamabad: Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan on Wednesday said that the federal government was striving to provide youth with more and more opportunities in the field of sports to show their talents.
"We're taking one initiative after another to support young athletes," Rana Mashood told members of the Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Council during a meeting here. Several cricketers were also part of the delegation.
The discussion centred around the development and promotion of wheelchair cricket in the country. Rana Mashood acknowledged the remarkable achievements of the Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket team and said that the team had brought significant recognition to the country in the field of cricket.
He said that all members of the Wheelchair Cricket team were national heroes who inspired youth. Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme said that the government was making serious efforts to create better sports opportunities for youth to exhibit their talents and skills.
He promised continued support for young athletes. Rana Mashood also announced that the Cricket Talent Hunt trials would start soon across the country. He encouraged young players to register for the trials through the Digital Youth Hub.
