Security guard shot dead

LAHORE:A private society security guard was shot dead in Nishtar Colony on Tuesday following a heated argument with a woman, police said, as authorities launched raids to apprehend the fleeing suspect.

The incident occurred when 32-year-old guard Irfan Zafar engaged in a verbal altercation with a woman identified as Nazia. During the confrontation, Nazia’s companion, Hamza, allegedly opened fire in a fit of rage, fatally wounding Irfan at the scene. “After the shooting, the suspect fired shots in the air and fled with the woman.
