PESHAWAR: A condolence reference was held at the Peshawar High Court for the lawyers who passed away recently.
The participants expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of lawyers and praised the services rendered by them for the people of the province, particularly the legal community.The condolence reference was organized by the Peshawar High Court Bar Association at Ghulam Nabi Hall in honour of late senior lawyers Wali Khan Afridi, Sardar Ali Raza, Farooq Shah advocate and others.
The event was attended by Acting Chief Justice S M Attique Shah, Senior Puisne Judge, Justice Ijaz Anwar, judicial officers, heads of various lawyer organizations, law officers from the Attorney General’s Office and Advocate General’s Office and a large number of members of the legal fraternity.
The speakers said that the services of Wali Khan Afridi advocate and other departed lawyers cannot be forgotten. Through their legal practice, they not only highlighted key issues, especially in the tribal districts, but also fought public interest cases.They offered condolences to the families of the deceased lawyers as well.At the end of the ceremony, fateha was offered for the departed souls.
