ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry’s move to change the FIA DG has become a mystery as a notification to assign Abdul Khaliq Sheikh the look-after charge was withdrawn immediately after it was released.
Abdul Khaliq Sheikh is the National Police Bureau DG and a grade 21 officer of the Police Service. Additional FIA DG Jan Muhammad will continue to perform duties as the FIA DG. He was given the look-after charge on 29 January. It may be recalled that on January 29, regular FIA DG Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir was transferred and made an OSD and no permanent appointment has been made to the post for the last two months.
