Rawalpindi’s beauty enhanced with Siddiqui Chowk landscaping
Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation has taken significant steps to enhance the city's aesthetic appeal by landscaping two islands at Siddiqui Chowk. As part of this beautification initiative, broken electricity poles have been restored and arranged in a circular formation, adorned with decorative vines, adding to the charm of the area.
Additionally, colourful flower pots with vibrant plants have been placed throughout the site, with the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi responsible for their upkeep. This initiative has been well received by the public, as green spaces have been enriched with a variety of flowers and plants. The ongoing maintenance of these green areas further ensures their long-term appeal.
Director General of PHA, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, emphasized that practical measures are being taken to beautify the city. He praised the Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi for its commendable role in making the city cleaner and more attractive. "PHA is committed to providing the citizens of Rawalpindi with a beautiful and healthy environment," Ranjha stated. He further highlighted that, in line with the Punjab government's Clean and Green Mission, efforts are underway to improve the city's environmental conditions. "Rawalpindi will be transformed into the most beautiful city in Punjab. We want our citizens to breathe in a green and refreshing atmosphere," he added. Ranjha also expressed hope that residents would support and appreciate these initiatives by the Municipal Corporation and PHA.
