Senior lawyer to contest polls

MANSEHRA: Former member of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan, Shahjehan Khan Swati Advocate has announced his candidacy for the upcoming election for the president of the District Bar Association.
“The lawyers’ fraternity has persuaded me to contest the bar’s presidential election, and I have no reason to decline their goodwill gesture,” Shahjehan Khan Swati told reporters. Swati, who has previously also served as the president of the same bar association and as a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council multiple times, said that the Mansehra Bar Association had rich traditions and he would work hard to uphold it.
