DUBAI: Pakistan’s exports to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) witnessed a 28 percent growth during the ongoing fiscal year, reaching $1.2 billion between July 2024 and February 2025.

This announcement was made by Ali Zaib, Pakistan’s Commercial and Trade Counsellor in Dubai, while addressing a Suhoor gathering organised by the Pakistan Consulate and the Pakistan Business Council.

Zaib highlighted that this significant increase reflects Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen trade ties with the UAE, with export volumes surpassing last year’s figures by a notable margin.

The Suhoor gathering, held at the Pakistan Association Dubai, aimed to invite foreign diplomats and business councils registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce to participate in the upcoming Pakistan Trade Show. The event sought to showcase Pakistan’s trade potential and attract investment from international businesses.

Hussain Mohammed, Pakistan’s Consul General in Dubai, reassured foreign delegates of complete cooperation for investors interested in exploring opportunities in Pakistan. He emphasised the government’s commitment to facilitating business partnerships and promoting economic collaboration.

Shabbir Merchant, Chairman of the Pakistan Business Council in Dubai, announced that a delegation of foreign investors from Dubai will participate in the Mega Trade Show scheduled to be held in Lahore. He stated that the event would provide an ideal platform for exploring investment opportunities in diverse sectors of Pakistan’s economy.

The fourth edition of the Health, Engineering, and Minerals (HEM) Show 2025 will take place in Lahore from April 17 to 19, 2025.
