PHC seeks response from ECP on CM’s petition

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Friday sought a detailed response from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on the notice issued to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
A bench comprising Justice Syed Arshad Ali and Justice Dr Khurshid Iqbal heard the case.The petitioner’s lawyer stated that due to engagements in the Supreme Court, he could not prepare for this case and would require time to present arguments.
The ECP’s lawyer requested the court to consolidate similar pending cases. The court accepted the request and postponed the hearing.The court directed the ECP to submit a detailed response and adjourned the hearing until April 16.
