GIK Institute arranges Career Fair
SWABI: As many as 130 multinational and national companies participated in the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIK Institute) Career Fair.
The event allowed the final-year students to interact with potential employers and explore career prospects. Zaurayze Tariq, Managing Director of Schlumberger, was the guest of honor and inaugurated the two-day event which concluded on Thursday.
Prof Dr Syed Mohammad Hasan Zaidi, Acting Rector of GIK Institute, and pro rector, deans, and departmental heads, attended the event, underscoring the institute’s commitment to industry-academia collaboration.
The fair served as a platform for final-year students across various engineering and management science disciplines to connect with recruiters, participate in interviews, and gain insights into industry hiring trends for young engineers.
Zaurayze engaged with students and faculty, discussing advancements in the energy and technology sectors. “We look for hiring the right people and GIK Institute has produced such graduates. The research team here contributed according to the country’s need,” he said.
