Notices in plea against PM, Punjab CM, interior minister
Petitioner claims that his son was killed in firing during a PTI protest on November 26
ISLAMABAD: Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka has issued notices to parties in response to a petition filed against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and others over the alleged murder of a citizen during the November 26 protest.
During the hearing on Wednesday, the petitioner claimed that his son was killed in firing during a PTI protest on November 26. He said that he had filed an application at the police station to register a murder case, but no action was taken. The petition requests the registration of a case against the prime minister, interior minister, chief minister, Islamabad IGP, and others for his son’s murder.
The court issued notices to the parties and adjourned the hearing until March 5.
The petitioner, Gul Khan, had previously submitted an application to register the case, which was dismissed due to non-compliance.
