1,275 arrested for violating anti-kite flying act

LAHORE:Punjab Police intensified crackdown on kite flying, arresting 1,275 individuals and registering 1,257 cases across the province for violating the Anti-Kite Flying Act, during the current year.
Police seized 386,890 kites and over 12,850 spools of kite string, while challans for more than 975 cases were submitted. Compared to last year, when 12,525 individuals were arrested and 11,866 cases were registered, the police have ramped up efforts to curb this dangerous activity.
