PESHAWAR: Commissioner, Peshawar Division, Riaz Khan Mahsud on Friday directed deputy commissioners to implement a comprehensive plan within 24 hours to check price-hike during Ramazan.
Chairing a meeting in line with the provincial government’s directives, Commissioner Riaz Mahsud ordered intensified market monitoring across all five districts of the Peshawar Division.He said that control rooms would be set up in deputy commissioners’ offices to address complaints, while revised price lists for essential commodities, including milk, yogurt, and meat, will be issued and prominently displayed in markets.
Three assistant commissioners in each district would be stationed in markets, revenue department officials would assist in price-checking, and raids would be conducted during Sehr and Iftar.
