Bulgarian envoy, education secretery discuss cooperation
Islamabad : Ambassador of Bulgaria Irena Gancheva met with secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani in his office here and discussed with him the possible opportunities for collaboration to improve student learning and professional development and training for teachers.
The envoy expressed her country’s eagerness to support Pakistan's educational initiatives, emphasising the importance of international partnerships in achieving sustainable educational development.
Drawing from Bulgaria’s own experience in successfully implementing educational reforms, she offered to share best practices that could be tailored to Pakistan’s unique context.
The education secretary welcomed the ambassador’s initiative and thanked Bulgaria for its willingness to contribute to Pakistan’s educational progress.
He informed her about the ministry's ongoing initiatives to enhance educational standards and ensure better accessibility to education across the country.
Wani also highlighted plans to integrate new technological advancements to further elevate learning outcomes in Pakistan.
Both sides agreed on the importance of continuous dialogue and cooperation to overcome challenges and explore opportunities for growth in the education sector and discussed exchange programmes, joint research, and capacity-building efforts.
Also, the education ministry announced a partnership with the Omer-e-Rawan Foundation, marking a crucial step toward supporting the mental well-being of students in public schools.
A bilateral memorandum of understanding was signed at the ministry to enhance mental health services, physical health and overall learning capabilities.
Officials insisted the collaboration would not only foster academic growth but also promote the mental and physical well-being of students, creating a more balanced and supportive environment for learning.
They said the partnership was a promising move toward building a healthier and more resilient education system for the region.
