Pakistan win eight taekwondo gold

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan won medals on the opening day of the basic Garde-I Poomsae category at the Combaxx 7th Asian Taekwondo Open underway here at the Liaquat Gymnasium.

Local athletes excelled in the technical discipline of taekwondo, bagging 8 gold, 7 silver, and 9 bronze medals across various individual and pair categories, setting the tone for an action-packed tournament.

Key Medalists from Day 1 (Poomsae Category): Gold winners: Hussain Adil (Individual Under 30 Male), Hussain Mudassar (Individual Under 40 Male), Khan Muhammad (Individual Under 50 Male), Nisa Mehr Un (Individual Under 30 Female), Sabir Sana (Individual Under 50 Female), Hussain/Naila (Pair Under 30), Mumtaz/Bashir (Pair Over 30), Hashemi Sayed Zarif (AFG) (Individual Under 60 Male).
