KARACHI: The two-day Agri-Connections 2025, themed ‘Investing in Agriculture for Growth’, will commence on February 12 at the Karachi Expo Centre.
The event will feature experts from Turkey, Italy, Hungary, Peru, Uzbekistan, France, the US and Pakistan. Discussions will explore opportunities for Pakistan amid global shifts such as US and EU sanctions on Russia and proposed US tariffs on China, Mexico and Canada.
Kazim Saeed, CEO of the Pakistan Agricultural Coalition, will deliver the welcome address, followed by Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh on Investment and Public-Private Partnerships Syed Qassim Naveed Qamar.
Key sessions include ‘Investing in Agriculture for Growth at Scale’ featuring Matteo Iagatti from FGM International and John McGillicuddy from IFC. Another session will explore developing a national agri-commodity market with experts like Agha Jan Akhtar and Khurram Zafar of the Pakistan Mercantile Exchange.
Special presentations on Hungary’s agricultural insights will also be highlighted. Notable speakers include Punjab’s Minister for Agriculture Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani and FAO’s Country Representative for Pakistan Florence Rolle.
