PESHAWAR: School students showcased skills at a Robo Spark Event and won praise for their creations.A press release on Sunday said the students from Peshawar Model School (PMS) Safya Homes Branch, Warsak Road, Peshawar, won all robotics games at the event.
The competition included various segments and was arranged at the Peshawar Model School Boys III Auditorium.The event was attended by the students of the PMS’s different branches.
The chief guest, Dr Muhammad Asim, an assistant professor at the Computer Science and Information Technology Department, Agriculture University Peshawar, served as the judge on this occasion.
Speaking at the ceremony, the chief guest said robotics technology had promoted scientific studies to such an extent that today’s students could invent new inventions at home.He praised the management of Peshawar Model Schools and the teachers for enabling the students to put into practice their creativity.
His speech was followed by prize distribution to the excelling students of the PMS Safya Homes Branch.It is pertinent to mention here that the Peshawar Model Schools started Robotics and STEM Education in 2019 leading among top institutions in the country and first in KP.
All the students from grades 1 to 7 actively participate in robotics activities and design projects throughout the year while sitting in specifically and explicitly designed and equipped state-of-the-art Robotics Studio.
