Award of scholarships: ETEA conducts digital test for students of govt schools
PESHAWAR: The Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) has successfully conducted the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the award of scholarships to students of 6th and 7th grades from government schools across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Officials said the initiative reflected the commitment of the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa towards ensuring a fair, transparent, and technologically advanced examination system.
“The scholarship programme is aimed at providing talented students with fully funded education up to the 12th grade in leading educational institutions across the province. The computer-based tests were conducted from January 11 to January 27, 2025, covering all districts of KP smoothly and efficiently,” said an official.
As per official data, a total of 13,251 students applied for 506 available seats across the province. Out of these, 12,104 students appeared for the test, whereas 1,147 remained absent. The examination results indicate that 3,152 students successfully passed, while 8,939 students did not qualify. Additionally, 13 candidates were found using unfair means and have been reported for disciplinary action in strict accordance with ETEA regulations.The data further revealed that out of the 12,104 students who appeared for the test, 9,902 were boys and 2,202 were girls.
