Trees are being cut across the city of Karachi for commercial or political purposes. From political rallies to construction work to billboards, most of the trees have been chopped down. This has not only ruined the aesthetic beauty of Karachi but has also fuelled pollution, thereby adding to the climate change we are facing.
It is time the concerned authorities took measures to save the trees and focused on planting more trees in order to mitigate the hot weather.
