Two dacoits killed in encounter
Police recover millions of rupees, weapons and other valuables from robbers

BUREWALA: Two dacoits were killed in an encounter in the jurisdiction of Fateh Shah police station.
The killed robbers had been identified as Asif, a resident of Lahore, and Ilyas, a resident of Kasur. Both were wanted by the police in 45 cases with five cases listing them as wanted fugitives. Their activities included robberies and lootings in Kasur, Multan, Lahore and Vehari cities.
During the encounter, the police recovered millions of rupees, weapons and other valuables from the robbers. A few days earlier, the suspects were reportedly involved in a daylight robbery in which they robbed a woman, taking her jewellery and cash. Further investigation is under way.
