Man dies as truck hits motorbike

Another citizen lost his life while one person was critically injured after a speedy truck hit their motorcycle in the Korangi area. The tragic accident took place on the night between Thursday and Friday near Korangi Godown Chowrangi in Korangi Industrial Area where the truck hit the motorcycle.

Following the accident, police and rescuers reached and transported the casualties to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center where the deceased person was identified as 43-year-old Ovais, son of Ejaz, and the injured as Usman, 24, son of Gul Faraz.

The truck driver responsible for the accident managed to flee the scene while the police impounded the truck and initiated a search for the driver and the truck owner.

Over half of a dozen people have lost their lives after heavy vehicles, including trucks, trailers and dumpers, hit them during the first 24 days of January. On Thursday, a young woman had lost her life and her husband and a brother were wounded after a dumper hit their motorcycle on the Super Highway. The deceased was identified as 26-year-old Uzma.

Her husband, 30-year-old Nazar Hussain, and brother, 25-year-old Jafar, were critically injured. The driver of the dumper sped away.
