Three acquitted, sentences of two commuted in Osama Sati murder case
A division bench announce verdict on appeals against sentences by trial court

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday commuted the death sentences of two convicts to life imprisonment, and acquitted three other accused in the murder case of Osama Sati, the 22-year-boy, who was shot down by the personnel of Anti-Terrorism Squad in Islamabad in 2021.
A division bench comprising Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kyani and Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan announced the verdict on the appeals against the sentences by trial court.
In its judgment, the court commuted the death sentences of Muhammad Mustafa and Iftikhar Ahmed to life imprisonment, and acquitted Saeed Ahmed, Shakil Ahmed and Muddasir Mukhtar.
The trial court had announced death penalty to two accused and imprisonment sentence to three other accused.
