PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Science and Information Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, said on Wednesday the provincial government was taking steps to control unemployment through science and information technology.
“The young people are running businesses through the IT Park in Peshawar while 33 per cent of the work on the Digital City in Haripur, spanning 86 kanals, has been completed”, said while speaking at a workshop on climate change organised by the Women Media Centre.
The special assistant said Pakistan’s IT sector had earned $4 billion, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s share being $2 billion.Dr Ayaz emphasized the development of software to ensure transparency in medical and engineering entry tests and to secure the e-tendering system from human tampering.
