UAE introduces multi-entry visit visa for relatives, friends
Development is expected to benefit Pakistanis who often face challenges in obtaining UAE visas for family or personal visits
DUBAI: The UAE has announced a new multi-entry visit visa for relatives and friends, providing foreigners the opportunity to stay in the country for 30, 60, or 90 days without requiring a local sponsor or guarantor.
This development is expected to benefit Pakistanis who often face challenges in obtaining UAE visas for family or personal visits.
Under this initiative, individuals can apply for the visa to visit close relatives such as parents, siblings, children, or spouses. Documentation proving the relationship, like marriage or birth certificates, is mandatory.
Friends can also apply, but they must provide valid reasons for the visit, such as attending important events or spending time with close associates.
To ensure eligibility, applicants need to fulfill specific requirements. These include providing a copy of their passport (valid for at least six months), two recent photographs, and supporting financial documents.
For salaried individuals, a salary certificate or employment contract is required.
Business owners or partners must submit a partnership contract or business license.
Visa Costs and Additional Fees
The visa fees are structured as follows:
30-day visa: AED 300 (approximately PKR 22,755).
60-day visa: AED 500 (approximately PKR 37,925).
90-day visa: AED 700 (approximately PKR 53,095).
Applicants must also deposit a refundable AED 2,000 (PKR 151,700) as financial security, along with minor administrative charges. Medical insurance, ranging from AED 40 to AED 90 (PKR 3,034 to PKR 6,825), is also required based on the visa duration.
Application Process
The visa can be applied for through the GDRFA website, mobile application, or customer service centers across the UAE. Applicants must submit the required documents, pay the fees, and follow the verification process.
This visa is particularly helpful for Pakistanis looking to reconnect with family or friends in the UAE without the complexities of sponsorship.
