Police arrest 23 law-breakers
Rawalpindi:The Rawalpindi Police during actions against law breakers on Thursday arrested 23 accused from across the district.
According to a police spokesman, four suspects were held on the recovery of liquor. The Pirwadhai Police recovered 15 litres of liquor each from accused Zakirullah and Gul Bahadur, while the Sadiqabad Police nabbed accused Daniyal with 10 litres of liquor. The City Police nabbed accused Sameer Shahzad with 10 bottles of liquor.
Similarly, six accused were arrested for possessing hashish. The Ratta Amral Police recovered 1.5 kg hashish from accused Abdul Razzaq, and 1.4 kg hashish each from Noman and Hamza, while the Taxila Police nabbed accused Gul Ali with 1.6 kg hashish. The Saddar Wah Police recovered 10.6 kg hashish from accused Fayyaz and 800 grams hashish from Sardar Gul.
Likewise, four accused were arrested for having illegal weapons and ammunition. The accused identified as Majidullah and Abu Bakar Siddique were nabbed by the Naseerabad and Taxila Police respectively, and Saqib Nazir and Mubeen Ahmed by the Airport Police, all with a 30 bore pistol each.
Meanwhile, three proclaimed offenders wanted in various cases were arrested. The Morgah Police held two criminals Osama and Shakeel involved in a theft case. The accused had been on the run for the last year.
