RAWALPINDI: Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand completed cross-examination of the fourth witness from the FIA in the Toshakhana-2 case against Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi here on Friday.
The court also expressed its displeasure over non-appearance of Bushra Bibi and her lawyer, and remarked that if the accused lawyer did not appear on the next date, his right to cross-examination would be terminated under the disciplinary action.
On Friday, Imran Khan was produced in the courtroom during the hearing, but Bushra Bibi and her lawyer Arshad Tabrez did not appear. Besides Imran’s sisters, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, his lawyers Faisal Chaudhry, Mashal Yousafzai, Ali Ijaz Buttar Advocate were also present. Three witnesses appeared in the court on behalf of the FIA. Former premier’s lawyer Qausin Faisal Mufti cross-examined the fourth witness Muhammad Ahmed, and the court adjourned the hearing until January 14.
Two more witnesses will appear in the next hearing. The statements of five witnesses have been recorded so far in this case, while the lawyers for the accused also completed cross-examination of four witnesses.
