Protest ends as SHO suspended

LANDIKOTAL: The protesters called off the protest and the Pak-Afghan Highway was reopened on Friday after the police high-ups suspended Station House Officer of Landikotal Adnan Afridi and initiated an inquiry against him.
Talking to the media in Landikotal, Mayor Shah Khalid Shinwari said they held talks with Superintendent Investigation of Police Roohul Amin and other police officers. He said on the directives of the district police officer, SHO Adnan Afridi was suspended and an inquiry launched against him. Quoting Superintendent of Police Roohul Amin, he said they were assured that a fair inquiry would be conducted against the accused police officer and he would be punished if found guilty.
