PBC declared strategic institution

Cabinet approved it in its meeting on June 11 on recommendation of committee

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has declared Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC), a subsidiary of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, as a strategic institution.

The Cabinet Committee on Government-Owned Enterprises (CCSOE) had decided in its meeting on May 20 last year to recommend to federal cabinet that PBC be declared a strategic institution. The cabinet approved it in its meeting on June 11 on the recommendation of the committee.

Now the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued a notification declaring PBC a strategic institution.
