Chinese worker dies in factory mishap
NOWSHERA: A Chinese engineer died after a heavy machine fell on him while working at the ZRK factory in Misri Banda in Nowsheradistrict on Wednesday.
Officials of district administration said that the engineer sustained serious injuries after the machinery fell on him during work and he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. His body was shifted tothe mortuary of Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex, they said, adding that arrangements were being made to send his body to China.
The Chinese engineer named Gao Xianguo was trapped between the machines after another one fell on him during the installation process. The district administration officials confirmed the engineer’s death and sent a detailed report to the Chinese Embassy and federal government.
The officials said it took several hours to rescue him, after which he was rushed to Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries. After conducting a post-mortem, the engineer’s body was moved to the mortuary.
