Free ration packages distributed in Chitral

CHITRAL: Former senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood said on Sunday that serving Chitral and its people was a mission of life.

Speaking at a ceremony at the Parade Ground in Chitral where ration packages were distributed among the poor and underprivileged, he assured the people of Chitral that the Talha Mahmood Foundation would always stand by them. He promised that food and other necessary supplies would be delivered without delay whenever needed.

He said his foundation would guide the youth and women of Chitral toward self-employment so they could become self-reliant and contribute to supporting others in society.He urged the federal and provincial governments to allocate special funds for development projects in Chitral, where the road infrastructure was in dire need of reconstruction.

Earlier, Muhammad Shamrooz bin Talha Mahmood, Director General of the Talha Mahmood Foundation, said that serving humanity had been his life’s mission.Prominent lawyer Abdul Wali Khan Abid Advocate, Noor Ahmad Khan, Haji Eidul Hussain, Mufti Zameer, Wajeehuddin, Waqas Ahmad Advocate and others also addressed the gathering.They praised Senator Talha Mahmood and his foundation’s efforts for eradicating poverty and promoting development in Chitral.
