During 2024, the Sindh Inspector General Police (IG) Complaint Cell, located at the Central Police Office (CPO), received a total of 76,594 complaints.
Among these, 2,189 were found to be false, and cases were registered for 367 complaints.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Imran Qureshi, who heads the IG Complaint Cell, 72,432 complaints have been resolved so far.
He detailed that 71,423 complaints were received through the CMS Portal, out of which 68,724 have been addressed, while 2,699 remain pending.
Through email, 1,170 complaints were registered, with 957 resolved and 213 still under review. The helpline number 1715 received 1,080 complaints, of which 882 have been resolved, leaving 198 unresolved.
The WhatsApp number +923141088831 received 2,921 complaints. Out of these, 1,869 were resolved, cases were registered for 77 complaints, and 1,052 remain pending.
Imran Qureshi also disclosed that a total of 2,189 complaints were identified as false. The individuals responsible for filing these complaints were reprimanded, but no stringent action was taken against them.
