Winter break: FDE to close schools, colleges from 30th
Islamabad: The Federal Directorate of Education, which regulates public schools and colleges in Islamabad, has announced winter break for educational institutions.
According to a notification issued by the FDE, all schools and colleges will remain closed from December 30 to January 8, 2025. Academic activities will resume from January 9, 2025. In an advisory for institutional heads, the FDE directed them to develop comprehensive plans to improve academic quality during the break. Private educational institutions in Islamabad have already announced winter vacations in the federal capital.
Earlier, the Punjab education department announced a revamped schedule for winter vacations in schools across the province. Under the revised schedule, all public and private educational institutes will start their winter break from December 23, 2024, to January 12, 2025.
