Rawalpindi: Senior educationist Professor Saima Sajjad breathed her last on Monday, was laid to rest in the graveyard of Chaklala Scheme 3, here on Tuesday.

The funeral prayer of Professor Saima Sajjad who was wife of Professor Sajjad Qamar, central coordinator of Province Hazara Movement was attended by Sardar Muhammad Yousaf MNA, Malik Abrar MNA, ex-chief of Naval Staff Admiral (r) Abdul Aziz Mirza, ex-prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, Jamaat-e-Islami Rawalpindi ameer Syed Arif Shirazi and others.

JI central ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, ameer of Jamiat Ahle Hadees Professor Sajid Mir and Senator Abdul Karim also called on Professor Sajjad to express their condolences on the sad demise of his wife. A sitting to offer ‘Dua’ for the departed soul will be held at House no. 20, Zeeshan Colony, Munawar Street at 3 p.m. on Wednesday (today).
