Official harassment
I usually visit Karachi to take job tests, buy books, and shop in Saddar. Parking is a huge problem in the business capital and the traffic police often seize motorbikes and sometimes even cars parked in the wrong place. However, the ‘wrong place’ is often the only parking that is available. And when someone asks the traffic police for more information, they misbehave and demand more charges.
They often stand in narrow streets where they can easily catch people. When they catch someone, they ask for documents. And, even if you have all the necessary documents, they come up with other ways to take money. I urge the traffic police and other authorities to take immediate action regarding this issue and address the behaviour of the police officers involved.
