Agitation works as CADD notifies teachers’ promotion
Islamabad
The agitation threat of the Federal Government College Teachers Association has worked.
The Capital Administration and Development Division has finally notified the promotion of 17 lecturers (BPS-17) of Islamabad model colleges (former FG colleges) as assistant professors (BPS-18).
The CADD oversees ICT government educational institutions through the Federal Directorate of Education.
On March 30, the CADD’s Departmental Promotion Committee had recommended the promotion of 12 women and five men lecturers.
However, the promotions didn’t take effect due to delay in their notification by the CADD to the unrest of teachers promoted.
Of late, the Federal Government College Teachers Association criticised the red tape in this respect and warned if the issuance of the notification was delayed further, the teachers would come onto the streets to claim due promotion.
The threat worked as the CADD has issued the long-awaited notification.
The promotions will take effect immediately.
Among the teachers promoted are Sarfraz Malik, Khalid Mehmood Chaudhary, Tariq Mehmood Baloch, Muhammad Habibullah, Kamran Sarfraz Baig, Nasreen Bano, Seema Kausar, Nabila Naeem, Asma Nizam, Shazia Iram, Tanveer Zehra, Dr Asiya Muhammadullah, Mehreen Akhtar Abbasi, Raheela Kausar, Sadia Iftikhar, Yasmeen Shahab and Maria Shafaq.
