Ministry again seeks PSQCA record on ‘bogus hiring’ of 7 officers
Sources say section officer wrote letter to Director General of Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority
ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Science and Technology has again sent a reminder to obtain records from the Pakistan Standards & Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) Director General for investigating the alleged bogus appointment of seven officers.
According to sources, the section officer of the Ministry of Science and Technology has written a letter to the Director General of Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority, which said that information about the appointments had not been provided yet and it should be provided so that action could be taken. In an earlier letter, the record of service rules, advertisement and job applications of Ayaz Ahmed Soomro, Abdul Waheed Soomro, Hasan Careo, Nabi Bakhsh, Basheer Anner, Mujeebur Rahman and Nawab Khan had been sought. However, the record was not provided to the ministry, which is probing allegations that bogus appointments were made for the posts. When contacted, a senior officers said the ministry would take action after receiving the information.
