Vintage and Classic car exhibition begins tomorrow
PESHAWAR: All set for the 15th Annual Vintage and Classic Car show to be held at the Peshawar Services Club tomorrow.The event would feature over 50 vehicles, including models from 1935 to 1980, along with other vintage cars and old autos.
Being organised by the KPCTA in collaboration with Classic Land Rover, the show would bring together car enthusiasts from various cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and elsewhere in the country, who would showcase their vintage and classic cars.
The 15th Annual Vintage and Classic Car show would be held at Peshawar Services Club, where more than 50 vintage cars, including models from 1935 to 1980 and other classic vehicles, would be displayed.
The event would also feature a rally starting from Peshawar and travel through Faisalabad, Rahimyar Khan, Moro, Thar desert and would reach Karachi. The Vintage and Classic Car show rally would also pass through the historic Balahisar Fort in Peshawar and later leave for Hund in Swabi, where a 4x4 Jeep race would be held.
Among the classic cars to be displayed are Mercedes, Jaguar, Ford, Chevrolet, Mini, VW, Land Rover, 4x4 Jeeps, motorcycles, and other vintage vehicles. Car enthusiasts from across the country would bring their prized classic cars to be a part of this event.
During the car show, traditional cultural performances, including Khattak dance and rubab music shows would also be held to add a festive atmosphere to the event.Meanwhile, the KPCTA, Frontier 4x4 Club and the Land Rover Club are also organizing the 12th Indus River Cross Jeep Race at the historic Hund point in Swabi at the Indus River on December 1.
The spectacular thrilling event would attract over 100 4x4 jeeps from various cities, including Lahore, Islamabad, Abbottabad, and Peshawar, to participate in this race.A 5-kilometer track would be set up for the event, which would include fast-moving water of the Indus River and rocky terrain.
The race would start at 10:00 AM and conclude at 1:00 PM. The race would be divided into three categories: Category A 0 to 2500cc, Category B 2500cc to open), while Category C would be open.The aim of the event is to promote adventure tourism as well as water sports activities in the province.
