Call for expediting completion of Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway
Pasban Democratic Party Chairman Altaf Shakoor has demanded urgent completion of the long-delayed Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway project.
In a statement, he emphasised the importance of improving connectivity for the people.
He said the M6 Motorway was a 306-kilometre project linking Sukkur to Hyderabad and was a vital part of connectivity between the northern and southern regions of Pakistan as it would also connect Karachi with Peshawar.
He condemned the delay in the completion of the motorway noting that similar projects in Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa had already been completed.
He also criticised facilities on the Super Highway saying its facilities were inadequate compared to modern motorways. He stressed that motorways were crucial for safe and fast travelling between cities and they facilitated trade.
Shakoor said poor roads like the Sukkur-Hyderabad National Highway hindered travel and trade.
