Veteran cricket organiser Raza Hameed dies

LAHORE: Veteran cricket organiser and senior sports journalist Raza Hameed has passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer.
He was the president of Lahore’s renowned Ludhiana Gymkhana Cricket and had the honour of introducing several cricketers, including former Pakistan Test cricketers Wasim Akram and Nasir Jamshed besides former first class cricketers Shakil Khan, Kashif Siddique, Imran Ali and Khurram Siddique.
The cricket community in Lahore has widely condoled the death of Raza Hameed. Those who condoled the death of Raza Hameed included President LRCA Khawaja Nadeem Ahmad, former Pakistan cricket team manager Azhar Zaidi and former LCCA Treasurer Sarfraz Ahmad.
