Ahmad finishes fifth at ADT Ambassador Open
KARACHI: Pakistan’s Ahmad Baig finished fifth at the ADT Ambassador Open in Taiwan, posting a total score of two-under-par across four rounds at Hsin Feng Golf Country Club. Baig showcased his skill throughout the Asian Development Tour event, held on a challenging course.
Baig opened with a one-over-par 73 in the first round and matched that score in the second round.
He surged back in the third round, carding a four-under-par with birdies on seven holes. He closed with a steady par-72 in the fourth round.
A highlight of Baig’s final round was his eagle on the ninth hole, scoring two under par.
However, double bogeys on the sixth hole during the first and second rounds affected his chances for a top-three finish.
In total, Baig tallied 17 birdies, reflecting his aggressive approach on the course. He also recorded 39 pars and 13 bogeys over the tournament’s four rounds.
The title went to Thailand’s Witchayapat Sinsrang, who won with a five-under-par, finishing three strokes ahead of Baig.
Baig’s performance in Taiwan adds to his list of impressive international results, underscoring his competitive presence on the Asian Development Tour.
