Islamabad:A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed, marking the beginning of an exciting joint venture between the Centaurus Group and Gandhara DHA to create Islamabad’s most anticipated theme park, says a press release.
This theme park will not only cater to the demand for leisure and entertainment but will also contribute significantly towards the tourism sector which will boost economic growth.The theme park, envisioned to be a state-of-the-art facility, will be a recreational hub, offering a rides, immersive attractions, retail, F&B outlets and family-friendly experiences. Strategically located near Islamabad for easy access via major highways, the park aims to attract not only domestic visitors from the twin cities, KP, Punjab but also tourists from across the region.
Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, CEO of Centaurus Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the project. “Our vision is to create a world-class destination that offers unforgettable experiences for families, thrill-seekers, and visitors of all ages.”
In partnership with Gandhara DHA, the project aligns with the region’s growth objectives and the local community’s aspirations. It will boost tourism, generate local employment, and integrate eco-friendly practices to ensure minimal environmental impact. Mr. Yasir stressed the significance of tourism as a lucrative industry, highlighting that other countries generate substantial revenue in billions of dollars from this sector alone. He emphasised the urgent need for Pakistan to develop a comprehensive tourism policy to capitalize on this untapped potential and drive economic growth.
The project will feature cutting-edge rides, engaging games and rides both indoor and outdoor, interactive installations, a diverse range of food options, and a unique blend of cultural integration through culinary experiences. The park will be designed to meet international safety and operational standards. This collaboration between the Centaurus Group and DHA exemplifies both organisations’ dedication to delivering exceptional entertainment and lifestyle experiences while simultaneously fostering sustainable development and local economic growth.
